Red Robot blog for BusinessZone

I haven’t done any guest blogging since I wrote one-off blogs for People Per HourEventbrite and Lifehacker, so it was great to write for BusinessZone yesterday. ‘Student loans’ for entrepreneurs: The case for and against discusses a new proposal from Sir Richard Branson to open up a student loan-style system for people who start businesses when they leave school. I take the ‘against’ argument and discuss whether the student loan is a model we should be trying to emulate in business.

Thanks to all who have been RTing the BusinessZone link this morning and voting in the poll. Have a look around the rest of the site while you’re there – BusinessZone offer some great resources for small businesses and have a lively Twitter feed and a useful weekly newsletter which should be out any minute now.

The January lull is very much over for us, and we’re back to working at full capacity. I’ve been quite poorly this week so it’s been a challenge for me to keep up, but it’s always great to be in demand and we’re so excited about the projects we have booked in. We’ll be working on a real mixture of web content, one-off blogging assignments and freelance technical writing work.

If you’ve had a quote from us but haven’t yet scheduled in the work or set a deadline, it’d be a good idea to get in touch as soon as you can. We’re already booking in projects for mid-February, so we’re expecting to allocate time on a first-come first-served basis from now on. If you’d like a new quote, email us today.
